Greece Bring Home Seventh Place

Quarter final losers Greece and Czech Republic fought it out for seventh spot and it was Greece who emerged the victorious with a hard fought 59-54 win.

Greece had been in control of the game during the first half and found themselves 28-23 in front at the break.

Turkey Storm Past Finalnd To Quarter-Finals

Finland Bounce Back From Tough Loss To Beat Serbia

Finland shrugged off the controversy of their last gasp loss to Italy and a nightmare third quarter to overcome the Spanish conquering Serbia in another hard fought Qualifying Round game in Naples.

The 61-53 success left Coach Harri Jokela with praise for his players who he believes managed to bury the disappointment of losing to the hosts in cruel fashion.
