Jennings Sees Improvement Despite Loss

France defeated Great Britain on Thursday in a warm-up game for the U20 European Championship for Women.

The clash took place in Temple-sur-Lot, France, and the Brits slumped to a 55-42 defeat.

Damian Jenings, who steered Britain to promotion from Division B last summer, believes his players will get better as the summer goes on.

"This was a game with several positives against a very athletic French team," he said.

"Our ball pressure has improved since we started practicing two weeks ago, and we are beginning to commit to the [fast] break with ambition.

"This test series is perfect to challenge our ambition to grow every time we hit the floor - and we're looking forward to playing again on Friday."

The sides meet again Friday and on Saturday.

The U20 European Championship will be played from July 7-17 in Novi Sad, Serbia.
