The first two major tournaments for the center have been rock solid and she has proven beyond doubt that she has plenty to offer at the elite level for her country. She spent much of her time at college as little more than a rebounder but is beginning to build a more refined and expansive portfolio of moves under the basket. She finished her career in the States with the Gators last summer, having to mark Brittney Griner in the the second round of the NCAA tournament. She also had to have a non-functioning kidney removed before her freshman year. She impressed in a big way at the World University Games in Belgrade during 2009 and since then, has
been a central part of the Great Britain team at both EuroBasket Women and the Olympics. She finished an eventful first pro-season in Hungary, having started in Liga Femenina. Stewart brings a defensive presence in the paint and both on and off the court, can usually be seen with a smile on her face and having fun.
