Cyprus started their four-match tour of Greece with a narrow win over club side Palio Faliro.
Kyriakos Yiangoullis' side are playing four teams from the Greek league as they continue to prepare for their forthcoming EuroBasket qualifiers against Romania, Ireland and Switzerland.
Trisokkas Panayiotis top-scored against Palio Faliro with 14 points while Serdaris Panayiotis contributed 11 points - including a trio of three pointers - as they ran out 69-67 winners in a tightly fought contest.
Although Cyprus would have liked a bigger winning margin, Yiangoullis had previously declared that he was not interested in scorelines, preferring to focus on performances until qualification begins against Romania on September 3.
Prior to the match, he told the Cyprus Basketball Federation website: "Our main target [during these warm-ups] is to tie up as a team.
"We don't care about results, because through the friendlies we will try to get better and correct any mistakes that will appear so we can be ready for our official games."
Yiangoullis took 14 players to Athens for the tour, which also takes in games against Milonas, Sporting and Dafni but travelled without injured pair Alexis Liatsos and Aris Koronides.
