Honka Playboys Espoo 72 - Polonia Warbud Warszawa 77

Finnish Champions Honka Playboys failed to get their first win in the FIBA Europe League. They fell to Polonia Warbud, their 6th loss in the competition.

Warbud's center Antonio Harvey was the man of the first minutes. He controlled the boards and paint, blocking 3 shots. His counterpart, Honka center Olli Nikitin also played well inside, producing his best game of the season and single-handedly keeping the home team in the game with his 17 points.

Warbud started better in the second quarter. They had a 7-0 run and were 8 points ahead. After a few minutes Honka came back, but the guests always had an answer. Warbud produced an excellent 11-0 run, but Honka didn't give up and narrowed the gap to 7 points at half time; 34-41.

In the second half, Honka's newcomer Steve Rich (actually in his second stint with the club) entered the game and proved his value under the basket. He battled with Harvey and finished his comeback game with 17 points and 4 assists.

Honka's 19 year old guard Shawn Huff hit 2 three-pointers at the start of the 3rd quarter and the home team were back in the game. Honka tied the score at 48, but Warbud were able to answer once again, this time through some strong outside shooting from Eric Elliot and took a 50:64 lead.

Honka had one comeback attempt left in them and again got to within 1-point of the Poles. But they ran out of steam in the final minutes and Polonia held on to win 72:77.

Harvey was named MVP of the game for his 14 point, 8 rebound and 3 block performance.
