Tarbes Back In The Frame After Beating Gdynia

09.12.2009

Charde Houston erupted for a game-high 27 points and Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui scored six straight points in a decisive fourth-quarter run as Tarbes beat Lotos Gdynia 81-67.

The French outfit snapped a five-game losing streak in the EuroLeague Women in the process.

The Polish club was putting the pressure on Tarbes and only trailed 69-67 after a basket by Paulina Pawlak with 5:59 remaining.

Houston buried a jump shot and France international Yacoubou-Dehoui then scored six points in a row for a 10-point lead.

With Lotos going ice cold and failing to score again, Houston and Frida Eldebrink had the final two baskets for Tarbes.

The result has left both sides with 2-5 records in Group D.

Ivana Matovic and Alana Beard each had 19 points in defeat.
