Czech side Gambrinus Brno maintained their push for a place in the EuroLeague Women eighth-finals with a 93-78 win over Lotos PKO BP.
Having scored 19 points in the win over Dexia Namur last time out, power forward Eva Viteckova was in flying form once again pouring in 22.
The result meant that Gambrinus Brno stay second in Group C, level with leaders Spartak Moscow Region on a 5-1 record.
Despite battling well early on, Lotos PKO BP struggled after a nine-point run allowed Gambrinus Brno to open up a 25-16 lead, which they extended to 35-23 by the end of the first quarter.
It was always going to be difficult for Polish outfit Lotos PKO BP from that point and Gambrinus Brno moved into a 13-point lead at 49-36 at half-time.
Midway through the third quarter Gambrinus Brno stamped their authority after a four-point run from Petra Kulichova saw them take a 17-point lead at 62-45.
However, Lotos PKO BP did mount a small fightback and a five-point run at the end of the quarter, coupled with Dominque Canty`s jump shot on the buzzer helped them reduce the deficit to 70-58 going into the final quarter.
Any hopes of a combeack were extinguished when Gambrinus Brno went on another five-point run to make it 93-71 late on and Lotos` late seven-point haul came in vain.
Despite grabbing more rebounds and having a higher success rate from the free throw line, Lotos PKO BP` failure to convert with their two and three-point efforts was ultimately their undoing.
