UMMC Ekaterinburg will not get 7ft giant Margo Dydek until January.

If they keep playing as they did on Thursday at Lotos Gdynia, they may not need the Polish superstar.

The Russian team improved their record to 3-2 in Group B of the EuroLeague Women with a 71-58 win at Lotos as Ekaterina Sytnyak and Suzy Batkovic paced the visitors' attack by each scoring 14 points.

The 23-year-old forward also hauled down seven rebounds and dished out six assists as Lotos slumped to their third defeat in five games.

Gordana Kovacevic buried a jump shot midway through the third quarter to give Lotos a 47-44 advantage, but Ekaterinburg reeled off eight straight points for  a 52-47 advantage and they led for the remainder of the game.

Back-to-back lay-ups from French star Audrey Sauret Gillespie and Australian Batkovic put the visitors in front at 48-47, and then baskets from Elena Karpova and Milica Dabovic finished off the 8-0 spurt.

A jumper at the start of the fourth quarter from Magdalena Leciejewska pulled Lotos to 54-53, but then a shot from Yulia Mironova started an 11-2 run for the Russian team as they sealed the victory.

Agnieszka Bibrzycka's game-high 20 points for Lotos were in vain.
