UMMC Ekaterinburg won 92-75 over Lotos Gdynia to leave the Poles in danger of missing out on the next phrase of the EuroLeague Women.

Lotos now have two wins and eight defeats, with Famila Schio able to leapfrog them off the bottom of the table if they win at MKB Euroleasing.

USA international Yolanda Griffith had 17 points to pace UMMC, who improved to 5-5 with the triumph.

The Poles led 24-19 at the end of the first quarter and the Russian hosts lost even further ground at the halfway point when Lotos led 44-34.

However, the game started to turn in the third quarter after Agnieszka Bibrzycka's jump shot had put the Poles 48-36 ahead.

The home side then went on a 14-point run to take control of the game and by the end of the third quarter had extended their lead 66-56 with Yulia Mironova posting three three-pointers in quick succession.

The Russians pulled further clear in the final period to celebrate a good win.

Mironova added seven rebounds to her 16 points while Ekaterina Sytnyak also posted double digits  with 11 as did Suzy Batkovic (14), Malgorzata Dydek and Elena Karpova (both 10).
