Happy New Year everybody☺
I hope that your first couple of days in 2012 were already full of success and you survived all the celebrations without any injuries.
I am sure that many of you have some "new-old" New Year's resolutions, which you will try to stick to. I wish you all good luck with it because I ‘ve already failed mine :P
My attempt to do every day something else for my body except basketball was not successful ☹
The first couple of days I did alright until the day I told myself that resting is also part of my resolution. Since that day everything went wrong☺ But I just want to tell you..... DO NOT completely give up on your resolutions.
It is hard to suddenly change things in your life and New Year's resolutions always try to call for some drastic changes and therefore they are the perfect set up for failure. Always start with small things which you can implement really easily into your life.
For example take the stairs instead of the elevator when you go home or to work. You have a much higher chance to succeed, than if you would try to run 5 km every day.
And write down what you do every day. It is always nice to look back at your achievements☺ So even though I called my resolution a failure at the beginning I really did not mean it. Step by step I will get to it ☺
But back to basketball☺ I am sure you've missed the EuroLeague Women as much as we did. But even though it has been a month since the last game, we as players got only couple days off.
This break was not only to rest, get well and replenish our bodies with a new energy but also to practice hard and get prepared for the next stage of Euroleague women.
There are only 4 rounds left in the regular season and we have to do our maximum to advance to the next round.
Today we will face one of the best teams in Europe, Valencia, but we are ready to put up a fight. I really cannot wait to be on the court again ;)
