EUROLEAGUE WOMENGood Angels Kosice levelled their Euroleague Women Eighth-Finals tie with Bourges Basket with a 61-54 win at home.
The hosts pulled clear in the final 15 seconds, finishing on an 8-3 run to kill off Bourges hopes of a sweep.
The visitors had closed to within two, 53-51, on Emmeline Ndongue's lay-up with 1:36 to go and there was then an intense battle marked by a series of misses and turnovers until Marina Solopova went to the line for Good Angels with 14 seconds left.
She sank both shots to make it 55-51, and although Catherine Joens drew a quick foul, she could only split her free throws to keep the gap at three.
Ivana Jalcova drew a quick foul, making both shots to stretch the lead to five, before Joens was successful from the line to make it 57-54 with eight seconds left.
Fouling was now the order of the day and Katarina Hrickova sank two for Good Angels making it 59-54, and Jennifer Digbeu's turnover put the ball straight back in the hands of the Good Angels, with Jalcova drawing a foul and making both throws to make it 61-54.
Maja Miljkovic missed a three-pointer at the buzzer for Bourges.
Candice Dupree led Good Angels with 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Hrickova, Solopova and Lucia Kupcikova each had 10 points.
Joens finished with 19 points for Bourges, while Ndongue had 12 and Styliani Kaltsidou 10.
