Crystal Langhorne had a smashing EuroLeague Women debut for Good Angels Kosice with 22 points on Tuesday night but the Slovakian club fell 76-68 at Bourges Basket.

In the opening game of the Eighth-Finals play-off tie, Kosice threatened to spring an upset before losing the initiative in the fourth quarter.

French internationals Jennifer Digbeu and Anael Lardy scored the last two baskets of the third quarter to leave the home side down 58-52 with 10 minutes to play.

Greek star Stella Kaltsidou then began the fourth quarter with a three-point play before another Lardy lay-up made it a one-point game.

The United States gold-medal winner at the FIBA World Championship for Women, Candice Dupree, tried to stop the rot for Kosice.

She hit a jump shot for a 60-57 advantage, yet Kaltsidou scored again before Catherine Joens drilled a three with 6:18 remaining to put Bourges in front.

Miljana Musovic answered with a shot from the arc to put Kosice back in front, only for Joens, who had 18 points, to connect again from long range and make it 65-63 in favor of Bourges.

Langhorne would later hit a jumper to reduce the Bourges advantage to 70-68 and Kosice had two chances to pull level but missed, and Bourges hit six free-throws in the last 33 seconds to ice the victory.

Joens finished four of seven from three-point range.
