// 26.02.2008

Fenerbahce's Cappie Pondexter poured in 23 points but Bourges prevailed 85-69 in France to move within one win from a second straight trip to the EuroLeague Women Final Four.

Playing with confidence Bourges got 19 points from Croatia national team center Sonja Kireta, 16 from French youngster Endene Miyem and 14 from Australia's Belinda Snell.

Pierre Vincent's team led for virtually the entire game, and it appeared late in the second quarter they might blow out the Turkish team when a three-pointer from Sonja Petrovic put them into a 44-28 lead.

But Fenerbahce went on a 14-5 run bridging the second and third quarters to pull to within 47-42 with 6:14  to go in the third quarter.

Instead of caving in, Bourges kept their poise.

Bourges got a Kireta jump shot to take her points haul to 13, and after Nevriye Yilmaz drilled a jumper for Fener to make it a five-point game again, France international Emmeline Ndongue hit back-to-back shots for a nine-point lead.

The French didn't pull away until late in the fourth quarter, but they were never under serious threat again.

Fenerbahce finished 24 of 38 at three free throw line, and they were out-rebounded 31-26.
