Bourges Basket are showing good form going into next week's EuroLeague Women Eighth-Final Play-Offs, and they proved their class by brushing aside high-flying rivals Villeneuve d'Ascq to go joint second in France's Ligue Feminine.
Pierre Vincent's side won 76-61 on Wednesday night to join their vanquished opponents on a 13-4 record.
Bourges play fellow French side USO Mondeville in the EuroLeague's last 16, which begins next Tuesday.
USO also won on Wednesday night, thrashing lowly St-Amand 79-36 and they stay fourth on an 11-6 record.
USVO Valenciennes (15-2) continue to lead the way in the division and they strengthened their grip on top spot with an 81-64 victory over Clermont-Ferrand.
USVO are also in EuroLeague action next week - they face a daunting best-of-three series against Russian giants CSKA Volgaburmash.
