Bourges Basket got their EuroLeague Women Group B campaign back on track on Thursday - but they needed a late flurry of points to see off plucky Dexia Namur 65-60.

A second defeat in a row looked on the cards for Bourges when they fell 60-56 behind with 3:20 to go.

But a 9-0 run at the death, which included five points from the impressive Evanthia Maltsi, saw them home and they join CSKA Volgaburmash on a 7-1 record at the top of the group.

Greek forward Maltsi finished with a team-high 14 points, but the star of the show for the French team was big center Emmeline Ndongue, who scored 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Dexia, who stay bottom of the group with a 1-7 record, put up a brave fight but did not have the staying power to last until the final buzzer.

They led 38-29 at half-time, and even held a two-point advantage (48-46) going into the final 10 minutes.

Elzbieta Miedzik (16 points) and Katryna Gaither (14 points and nine rebounds) were the Belgian outfit's stellar performers.

They will now battle it out with ZVVZ USK Prague, who also have a 1-7 record, for the final qualification spot from the group.
