Bourges Basket became victim number five for Gambrinus Sika Brno on Wednesday as the Czech juggernauts stayed undefeated in EuroLeague Women Group B.

Behind the superlative 16-point effort of Czech international star Hana Machova, and excellent contributions of Nykesha Sales and Delisha Milton, Gambrinus won 72-58.

Jan Bobrovsky's team went on a 12-0 run early in the game to lead 15-3 but were unable to deliver a knockout punch as Bourges stormed back.

The French giants tied the game at 34-34 with 7:11 to play in the third period on a three-pointer from Latvian international Anete Jekabsone, one of the players Bobrovsky expressed admiration for in the build-up to the game.

Jekabsone hit a second straight three 16 seconds later for a 37-34 advantage. Sales made a three-point play to tie the game at 37-37, and then Milton received a pass from Machova and sank a jump shot.

Next up was Machova's international team-mate, Eva Viteckova, who buried a shot from behind the arc and the avantage was 42-37.

Bourges would close to 44-43 on a three-pointer from Laia Palau, another of the players Bobrovsky had worried about before the game, but Machova made two free throws and Zuzana Zirkova followed up a shot from the arc with another jumper and Gambrinus remained in front the rest of the way.

Milton had 15 points and 10 rebounds while Sales had 13 points and eight boards.

Mudju Ngoyisa of Bourges led all scorers with 20 points.
