NEWSBourges coach Pierre Vincent admitted that his team just came up short in the FIBA EuroLeague Women after they failed to book their ticket to the Final Four.
The French team fell to a 70-54 loss at the hands of MiZo-Pecsi VSK in the third and decisive clash between the two teams, to tumble to a 2-1 series defeat. |

MiZo-Pécsi VSK has qualified for the Final Four, doing so for the third time in four years, by beating Bourges Basket of France soundly, fair and square, 70-54, in front of a capacity crowd of 4500 in Pécs Lauber Dezso arena.
Breaking out of a month-long slump, Pécs produced their best game this season, riding a stellar performance from Korlajka Hlede of Croatia and Hungarian national team member Andrea Károlyi, who scored 15 and 16 points respectively. |

More HeadlinesBourges star Laia Palau has grown accustomed to playing in the big games, be it for club or country.
No one will ever forget her buzzer-beating three-pointer at the Athens Olympics for Spain in their opener against the Czech Republic, a dagger which sent the game to overtime. |
|
The trophy cabinet at French giants Bourges is full because of all of their successes over the years.
Winners of the competition in 1997, '98 and 2001, Bourges did not enter this year's tournament as favourites but a team with this kind of tradition is always going to be in the reckoning. |
