Strasbourg edged Khimik 97-93 on Tuesday evening but failed to make it to the next phase of the EuroChallenge.
David Simon scored 20 points for Strasbourg, who improved to 3-3 but finished third in Group B due to EiffelTowers Den Bosch's home triumph over Apoel.
That result left both Apoel and the Dutch side with 4-2 records.
Khimik trailed by as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter but clawed their way back and twice closed the gap to just two points in the final minute.
Wen Mukubu made four free-throws down the stretch for the French side, however, to help keep Khimik at bay.
Khimik hit 24 of 26 free-throws and also out-rebounded Strasbourg 40-30.
