There was a busy night of action in EuroCup Women and it was Marina Kuzina who once again took centre stage as she continued her stellar season with yet another double-double for Dynamo Moscow.
The center claimed 15 points and 13 rebounds in just 22 minutes as her team travelled to Cyprus to rout Petrolina AEK 98-40 in Group G.
Another EuroCup Women powerhouse in reigning champions Sony Athinaikos travelled to Croatia to face Lupa Promotion Novi Zagreb and they returned home with an 83-51 success. Katerina Zohnova top scoring with 16 points while Dimitra Kalentzou starred with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
Saarloius Royals slipped to another defeat in Group H as Emilija Podrug posted 15 points and 13 rebounds for Nantes Reze in a 91-71 blowout of the German visitors who gave up 30 points in the final quarter.
Gran Canaria had to rely on their defence to dig them out of a hole at home to BBC Sint-Katelijne-Waver as they held the visitors to just 17 second half points to overturn a 12 point deficit at half time and claim a hard fought 67-60 win.
Mann Filter did more than just dish out a comprehensive 87-39 beating in Zaragoza to visiting Sport Algs e Dafundo, they also pummelled them on the boards too as they claimed a staggering 63 rebounds. Aneika Henry and Maria Pina sharing 23 of them.
Aija Putnina and Pauline Akonga were both on song for Arras as they helped their team secure an 88-62 rout of Dexia Namur. Putnina claimed 22 points and 8 rebounds while Akonga finished with 24 points and 7 boards.
It was a similar story elsewhere in France where ESB Lille Metropole completed an 82-57 victory against Lotto Young Cats of Belgium. Olayinka Sanni and Carla Thomas yet again the deadly duo as they shared 37 points and 26 rebounds.
Finally, Ruzomberok picked up a road win in Portgual as they saw off Olivias Coimbra 71-48 thanks to another excellent display by young star Klaudia Lukacovicova.
