Career: Gambrinus Brno (Czech Republic-ZBL, 2004-2007), Valosun KP Brno (Czech Republic-ZBL, 2007-2008), Frisco Sika Brno (Czech Republic-ZBL, 2008-2011)
The heart of Romana Hejdova has always been in Brno where she was raised and she has spent her professional career playing for both of the main clubs in the city. A versatile player who can score, rebound and find her teammates with an assist, Hejdova could be something of an impact player, probably coming off the bench for Coach Blazek. She has the capacity to occasionally explode, as her 15 points against Ros Casares in EuroLeague Women play would testify. She has now played in the competition for a number of seasons and has plenty of experience to call on even though she is still only 23 and maturing as a player. This will be her second EuroBasket Women tournament having played during 2007 in Chieti as a teenager while she also played a prominent role at the World University Games during 2009. |
