Even though the final score implies it was an easy win, France had a lot of work to do to finish off the stubborn Czech Republic,61-49, on day two of the Global Vision U18 European Championship Women.

For the Czech Republic the game with France was almost like a flashback of their first game of the tournament against the Netherlands.

They had a strong start, they dominated the game, but they couldn't finish their job.

France proved to be too strong. In the third quarter they transformed a nine-point deficit into a four-point lead and never looked back.

They increased the lead in the beggining of the fourth quarter and cruised to the end.

The game was a festival of turnovers, with the two teams combining for 48 of them. But it was France which took advantage of the opponent's mistakes, scoring 27 points on the Czech lost balls.

Esther Moisan Niamke led all scorers with 18 points and was on fire from beyond the arc, shooting 80 percent (4-of-5).

Tereza Vyoralova had an great all-arround game with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.

The last two games on Saturday will be decisive for all four teams. But while the Netherlands and France fight for the first place in Group D, the two teams from the former Czechoslovakia will try to avoid the classification games.
