After a productive youth career, which included stepping out at the U19 FIBA World Championship, a senior tournament debut could be a realistic goal for the 22-year-old who has been a cornerstone of an impressive season for Hradec Kralove. The club pushed EuroLeague Women duo USK Prague and BK Imos Brno hard at the top of the standings and much of that was due to the performances of Stara. She was one of the core members of the rotation and whilst she didn't always shoot the ball as well as she is capable of from downtown, her thirst for hard work, looking after the intangibles, defence and excellent passing ability showed how much she is maturing and why she was handed 28 minutes-per-game. She could be an interesting back-up option for Coach Blazek and a new face that could bring the surprise factor. |
