Along with Satoransky, Jan Vesely has been the other young Czech star who has spurred the national team's recent success. He was traded to Denver in his third NBA season and chose to return to Europe at the end of that season, joining Fenerbahce and becoming an integral part of the side that made the club's first ever run to the Euroleague Final Four, losing to Real Madrid in the semi-final. He was a starter in the Turkish League All-Star Game. He made a name of himself during his three seasons with Partizan Belgrade between 2008 and 2011 with whom he also reached the Euroleague Final Four in 2010 and a near cult status with the club's fans. Vesely was the FIBA Europe 2010 Young Men's Player of the Year while he was runner-up for the Euroleague's Rising Star Trophy in 2010 and third in 2011. Averaged a double-double at EuroBasket 2013 in his role as an energetic center, scoring 20-plus in the wins over Poland and Georgia and thrilling the crowds with numerous highlight plays.
