The Czech Republic recorded a 77-64 win over Slovakia in a friendly in Opava on Wednesday.
Both coaches rested key players but it was the Czechs who suffered least, easing away in the third quarter thanks to impressive shooting from distance.
Lukas Kraus was the top scorer for the Czechs with 17 points while Stanislav Votroubek poured in 13.
Slovakia's best player was Robert Nuber who picked up a game-high 20 points.
Czech coach Zdenek Humel was happy with his side's showing. He said: "I am satisfied with our performance in this game."
Meanwhile, Slovakia coach Milan Cernicky admitted he was impressed with the performances of some of the more inexperienced players in his side.
He said: "We played without some experienced players but our young players played a solid game."
The teams will meet each other again in Dolny Kubin on June 21.
