Turkey made a stunning turnaround by edging the Czech Republic on Saturday just one day after being thrashed by the same team.
Jan Bobrovsky's team hammered the Turks 73-47 on Friday but Turkey bounced back to win 70-68 on Saturday.
Nevriye Yilmaz, Turkey's 1.93m centre, was sensational with 19 points and four rebounds.
"This was our worst performance during this preparation," Bobrovsky said.
"My players were probably tired after hard preparation."
However, Bobrovsky did criticise his players.
"Turkey concentrated well for the game during all 40 minutes and wanted to win much more than my team," he said.
The Czechs play two more friendly games against Russia in Moscow next Tuesday and Wednesday before leaving for the EuroBasket Women in Turkey, where they will be among the favourites to capture gold.
