Turkey had entered the Qualifying Round of the U16 European Championship Women with two wins under their belt and in Group F action against the Czech Republic they added victory number three, 67-55.
The Czechs rebounded better but the Turkish were capable to score 19 points out of the opponent's turnovers which provided a big lift for them.
Doga Comba led the winning side with 14 points. The Czech Republic had three players that marked 12 points but could not use their advantage on the glass (54-44 in rebounding) to get away with a win.

Meanwhile the Czechs struggled to make their shots (only 25.3 percent from the field throughout the game). After three quarters Turkey's lead increased into double digits (41-54).
