|Czech Tereza Vyoralová led all scorers with 19 points and she added 8 rebounds|
The Czech Republic posted a comfortable win, 77-68 over their neighbours from the Slovak Republic, to advance to the Qualifying Round of the Global Vision U18 European Championship Women.
The Czechs were all over the court on defense and they suffocated Slovakia, forcing a poor shooting performance from their opponents. The Slovaks finished with a 24.2 field goal percentage.
Tereza Vyoralova, Michaela Vojtkova and Monika Satoranska combined for 50 points from the total of 77 scored by the Czech team. All three of them contributed also in the paint totaling 20 rebounds.
Slovakia had four players in double figures, but got little help from the others.
Sabina Oroszova finished with a double-double, 10 points and 19 rebounds, Angelika Slamova led the team with 15 points, Barbora Balintova added 13 while Michaela Rakova contributed with 12 points and eight rebounds.
The Czech Republic will start the Qualifying Round with a tough encounter against Belgium, while Slovakia will fight to avoid relegation, and they will start against Russia.
