While Regina Palusna has only just turned 22-years-old, injury setbacks have already led to some frustrating times during the early career of this talented young center. She didn't play a part in the Qualifying Round last summer but did play two years ago at EuroBasket Women 2009 in Latvia and during the Additional Qualifying Round in 2007. After averaging a season double-double in Extraliga when she was only 16-years-old and taking into account the promise she showed playing for her country at various youth championships, Palusna was viewed as one of the hottest prospects around. Since then she has endured a stop-start career including some time in the Spanish League and in EuroLeague Women with Ros Casares. Still, time is on her side in realizing the enormous potential her talent brings. Mobile, powerful and ready to play at her second EuroBasket Women tournament, the stage is set for her to shine.
