Romana Vynuchalová - EuroBasket Women 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: SBK Samorin (Slovak Republic-Extraliga)
Career: Club Istrobanka Bratislava (Slovak Republic- Extraliga 2003-04), Penn State (USA-NCAA, 2004-08), Flying Foxes Post SV Wien (Austria-AWBL, 2008-10), Extrugasa Vilagarcia (Spain-LF, 2010-11), Mann Filter Zaragoza (Spain-LF, 2011-12), BK Petrzalka (Slovak Republic-Extraliga, 2012), SBK Samorin (Slovak Republic-Extraliga, 2013)

The center is one of the go-to players in the paint for the Slovak Republic and she has shown her importance under the hoop over the last few years as she prepares to participate at her third EuroBasket Women tournament. She can work the glass and has a couple of trademark post moves although her free-throw shooting is something which she will be hoping to improve. She is a great body to have on the floor as a defensive match-up in the paint. She always knew what it took at the elite level from watching her mother Jamila who also played for the national team. She spent last season back at home in the Slovak League after spending most of her career playing in different countries, including a spell in the college game with Penn State. She started last season with BK Petrzalka in a team made up almost entirely of junior players before switching to SBK Samorin.
