Niedola Leads Latvia Out On High Note
Struggling Latvia finished their EuroBasket Women campaign with a 67-59 victory over Slovakia on Saturday to capture seventh place.

After four straight losses, including narrow defeats to Russia in the Quarter-Finals and Italy in Friday's Classification Round game, the tournament hosts signed off with a win.

Hosts Aim For Positive Finish

A EuroBasket Women that promised so much for Latvia and Slovakia has ultimately delivered no rewards on the court.

Both have given the competition some incredible rides, especially in their Qualifying Round meeting on June 13 when Pokey Chatman's team upset the Latvians.
