Serbia Show Their Working Mentality

Serbia grabbed a win in their opening match against a strong Slovakian side, 57-47.

With a working mentality, the Serbians were able to keep on top during all match, even if the Slovak Republic gave a tremendous fight.

The Serbians started better, presenting a mature side capable of finding various shooting possibilities.

The Slovakians tried to react bringing Kristina Matuskova in, but Serbia had a 16 points advantage by half time (35-19).

The Slovak Republic started a tremendous comeback in the third quarter but lacked a better shooting capability, making only 28 per centof their field goals.

As Serbia never took the win for granted, they kept working hard facing the Slovakian proximity in the scoreboard.

Forward Aleksandra Crvendakic revealed her star quality by scoring 25 points and grabbing nine rebounds.

Anja Spasojevic also showed a great performance, with 12 points and six assists.

As for the Slovak Republic, Kristina Matuskova was the best scorer with 17 points.
