One of the brightest young talents in FYR of Macedonia, Marko Simonovski managed to make his senior breakthrough last summer by getting a brief taste of elite level action having excelled through the youth ranks for his country. He posted impressive numbers at the U20 European Championship, a tournament he played at for three successive summers. Simonovski is an aggressive guard who has good size and athletic abilities which make him effective at both ends of the floor. He isn't afraid to get to the hoop and can make pull-up jumpers. While his three-point shooting still needs to be more consistent, his good first step and quickness make him a real option off the bench at EuroBasket 2011.
