Chekovski is a perfect example of a late developing European player as he only played at his first tournament with the national team two years ago in Lithuania. He may lack basketball basics and look a little overweight and his skill might not be that polished, but Chekovski is absolutely an irreplaceable player for F.Y.R of Macedonia. He plays the games with so much heart and brings so much energy to his team that he becomes vital on the court, no matter what his numbers are. His stats were more than decent last season when he helped MZT Skopje to the domestic title and a solid showing in the Adriatic League. He averaged almost 14 points-per-game whilst also adding close to 5.5 rebounds.
