Benacek Not Hopeful For Bosnia and Herzegovina

Former Yugoslavia legend Predrag Benacek has admitted that Bosnia-Herzegovina's chances of success at the forthcoming European Championships are slim.

The Bosnian star is not expecting too much from his fellow-countrymen when they lock horns with France, Italy and Slovenia at the tournament in Sweden next month.

However, Benacek was delighted with the progress made by the nation under coach Drasko Prodanovic.

"To win one game at the championships would be great but to get to the next round would be a miracle," he told Bosnian daily Avaz.

"We must remember what has happened in this country over the last 10 years and the situation the players have been forced to train and play in.

"To make it to a fifth European championship for this country is a big achievement.

"I can't say that this team are without a chance but it will be difficult."
