Team 2010-11: Lottomatica Roma (Italy-Lega) Career: Buducnost (Montenegro-Superleague 2005-10), Lottomatica Roma (Italy-Lega, 2010-11)
Last season was a big one for Nemanja Gordic at club level after he made his first move away from Buducnost to not only play in the Italian top division with Lottomatica Roma but also get his first taste of Euroleague. In both cases he did reasonably well and showed his ability in the backcourt which revolves primarily around his above average athleticism and size. Offensively, Gordic is very good because of his quickness and is perhaps more effective as a shooting guard as handling the ball isn't his greatest strength. Nevertheless, when required he is still competent at finding open team-mates and that part of his game continues to evolve as does his defence. Gordic is able to penetrate or spot up and had a fairly good perimeter game. EuroBasket 2011 will be the first major tournament for the 22-year-old who was previously a stand out player for his country at youth level. |
