A lot will depend on the veteran combo-guard, one of only three Bosnia and Herzegovina players who will be in his third EuroBasket campaign this September. Gordic is not the longest tenured player on the national team, but his experience of playing for both the national team and at top club level, will be vital for this team. So will be his aggressive perimeter defence. Gordic is a player who has a habit of scoring since the early days in his career, but he has also developed as a much better passer in the past couple of years. He averaged team-bests of 4.8 assists, along with 9.5 points last summer in the 2nd Qualification Round where he found himself in an expanded role under new head coach Dusko Ivanovic. An integral part of the national team for playing both sides of the ball, Gordic is a lock as a starter and a big-time contributor.
