Although he will only turn 25 during EuroBasket, Gordic is a veteran on the national team. A point guard, with a tendency and ability to score in bunches, Gordic is expected to be in a back-up role, just like in 2011 when he made his major tournament debut, and played the games against Greece and Montenegro in stellar fashion, but performed poorly the rest of the way as Bosnia and Herzegovina made an early exit. Gordic suffered a setback last summer, when a knee injury caused him to miss the Qualification Round. He never really regained his old form, and is coming off his arguably worst full season since turning pro. But Gordic has plenty of experience to bounce back, find his old self, and reinvent his scoring instinct that makes him one of the key players on the squad.
