Stanislav Slaveykov is the most talented prospect of Bulgarian basketball at the small forward position. In July, he won the Under 20 European Championship (Division B) with Bulgaria, averaging 16.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Along with the Ivanov twins and Nikolay Varbanov, he is one of the four players of the Under 20 team called by Rosen Barchovski for EuroBasket 2005 preparations. He is an aggressive scorer who likes transition and fast-break basketball. Then unknown, he had impressed everybody at the 2004 Under 18 European Championship, in Zaragoza, finishing as the sixth best scorer of the competition and showing great rebounding skills for his position (19.7 ppg and 8.0 rpg). |
