MiZo-Pecsi VSK 73 vs. Kozachka - Zalk 59

MiZo-Pécsi VSK took the necessary third win tonight against Ukrainian rivals Kozachka-Zalk Zaporozhye in the last remaining 1/8 final play-off game and with it move into the Quarter-Finals for the fifth year in a row.

The home side started very well and after 5 minutes had a 10-4 lead mainly thanks to solid play from Timea Béres, however with a good team effort Kozachka pegged their way back and had tied the game by the first break 15-15.

Kozachka - Zalk 80 vs. MiZo-Pecsi VSK 72

After the loss in the first EuroLeague Women 1/8 Play-Off game in Pécs on Tuesday, Kozachka-Zalk came out this evening and played like a different team.

The Ukrainian side produced the upset of the night to beat Pecs 80-72 and send the series to a game three in Hungary.

Pecs began their campaign to make the EuroLeague Final Four for the second consecutive year in style, with an easy win against Kozachka Zalk in the first of their three game play-off series.

Playing in front of a full house in Pecs, the home side raced out to a quick advantage and never looked back.

There were no surprises in Brno tonight, as Group A leaders Gambrinus JME took on sixth-placed Kozachka-Zalk in the FIBA Euroleague Women. From the tip it appeared as though the home team would be unstoppable as they took an early five-point lead thanks to strong play from Hana Machova. However in the seventh minute the visitors clawed their way back and went up by one.
