K Cero Kosice manager Daniel Jendrichovsky was full of praise for his players despite the 78-68 home defeat to Cevakata Vologda which sent them crashing out of the EuroCup Women.
The result gave the Russian side a 148-146 aggregate win after their 78 70 setback in Slovakia.
"We played a great basketball game for nearly 25 minutes and we were still only one basket from participation in the next round despite that," Jendrichovsky said.
"I have to commend our whole team for a great performance - we saw an interesting game which had high quality.
"It is a pity that we had a strong Dynamo Moscow side in our group - otherwise we could have gone to the play-offs with a better record and we could have played another team - not from Russia."
Indeed, in Group I Dynamo Moscow won all six of their games to finish top of the pile with Kosice second at 4-2.
"However there is nothing for us to be ashamed of in this series," Jendrichovsky added.
Vologda's second-leg comeback was inspired by 25 points and six three pointers from Lisa Willis.
Lavezzini Basket advanced after a 156-133 aggregate win over Besiktas Colaturka, despite losing the second leg 67-64.
