The ultimate late bloomer when it comes to playing in a National Team vest, it's fair to say that Dusko Savanovic has made up for lost time in some style after making his debut at 28-years-old which seems even older taking into account the youthful spirit of Serbia in recent times. Typical of his positive attitude and exemplary mentality, the forward grabbed the opportunity handed to him with both hands and was one of the revelations of the FIBA World Championship last year with some fantastic percentages and numbers. He brought all of his class and skills to the party and immediately cemented himself as an important player for this summer and for perhaps a few more years beyond that. He has a soft touch and composed style which is drawn from his intelligence while he is on the court. Armed with smarts coming off the bench at key times he is a real performer who might be new at the elite level but still someone capable of teaching some of his younger team-mates.
