Just shy of 18-years-old, Sara Leemans was not yet a key player at the U20 European Championship for Women last summer in Sopron; even if she averaged 10.9 ppg and 3.3 rpg.  But a season later, she is now one of the most talented players on the young Belgian team. Last season with club side Runkster, she did everything she could to keep her team in division one for a second straight season. The Hasselt native will compete at the U21 World Championship in Moscow and given that Buffard wants his youngsters to gain experience, she got the call for EuroBasket Women as well.
