Hungary beat Belgium 74-68 to even their record at 1-1 in the Quarter-final Round of the OSTCHEM U20 European Championship Women.

Katalin Honti poured in 24 points and also contributed 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead her side to victory in a tense encounter.

Belgium fell behind early but clawed their way back to edge Greece 58-56 in Group F.

Marjorie Carpréaux and Virginie Michiels each scored 12 points for the winners, with the former also finishing the game with five assists and six steals. Michiels, a 1.8m power forward, also had five rebounds.

Belgium went through as pool leaders in Group D despite losing 86-60 to Latvia on Sunday.

Laine Kurpniece was the star of the show for Latvia, recording game-highs in points (22) and rebounds (nine) to lead her side to a comprehensive victory.
