| 10.12.2008 Beretta Famila tore up the form book and destroyed TEO Vilnius in Schio, Italy, on Wednesday.
TEO Vilnius, the only side to beat Spartak Moscow Region, are now 5-4 and could end up missing out on second place in Group D. Beretta Famila, already eliminated from play-off contention with just one victory in eight games before the clash, got 19 points from Italy international Laura Macchi. TEO had a nightmare start. The hosts reeled off the game's first 11 points and by the end of the first quarter, the lead was 29-8. Sandro Orlando's team were still in command at half-time, leading 54-35. TEO never seriously threatened the rest of the way. Raffaella Masciadri had 18 points for the Schio team. Lindsey Wilson scored a game-high 23 points in defeat for TEO. |
