Much is on the line for a last place team in the EuroLeague Women and Penny Taylor of Famila Schio delivered for her squad on Thursday evening.
 
She had a remarkable all-around performance with a season-high 31 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in her team’s 81-79 victory over Lotos Gdynia to garner Player of the Week honours.

The win brings Schio to 2-7 and improves their chances of being one of the 16 teams to get past the qualifying round.

Taylor was crucial down the stretch of the game. Her jumper with just over a minute remaining in the fourth quarter tied the score at 79 and she hit the game-winning shot with eight seconds to go in the game.

Taylor, a native of Australia and a member of their National Team since 1998, played for the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA last season and averaged 13.2 points per game.

Since joining Schio mid-way through November, Taylor has averaged 16.6 points and 6.4 rebounds.
