Veteran playmaker Gordana Grubin has joined Famila Schio as a replacement for Australian international Penny Taylor until December 1, the club has announced.

Grubin, who turns 33 on August 20, is a Serbia & Montenegro international who averaged more than 16 points per game last season for Basket Parma in the EuroLeague Women and was also the leading scorer in Italy's top flight at 18.7 points per contest.

Schio recently agreed to let Taylor, one of Australia's stars at last summer's Olympics, have a period of rest because of her recent busy schedule and they see Grubin as the ideal replacement until she returns.

Schio are in Group B of the 2005-06 EuroLeague Women and will open up their challenge on October 26 at UMMC Ekaterinburg.
