Famila Schio coach Fabio Fossati has vowed the club will bounce back from their EuroLeague Women exit.

The Italians were beaten 84-70 at home to US Valenciennes on Friday, which sealed a 2-0 series win for the French club.

USVO now go onto the quarter-final play-offs, while Schio hope to do enough to earn a return to the competition next season.

"We are very sorry to finish in the EuroLeague but we are aware that USVO is a beautiful team, stronger than us," said Fossati.

"We wish them good luck as they hope to make the Final Four.

"Our team was very tired, we are playing a lot of matches between the Italian league and the EuroLeague.

"However, this was a very good experience for us and I'm sure that next year, if we play EuroLeague, we'll play better and we'll win more matches."

Schio won two of their 10 Group B games, meaning they had to face the 2002 and 2004 champions in the eighth-final play-offs.

And forward Raffaella Masciadri insists they should be proud of their European campaign.

"Our goal at the start of the season was to qualify for the top 16 and we reached this goal," she said.

"I'm sure that if our team was complete (with Elisabetta Moro and Penny Taylor) from October 16, then we would have played against an easier team than USVO. See you next year!"

USVO go on to face MKB Euroleasing Sopron for a place in the Final Four.
