It's some eight years since Rivi Grinboym last represented her country at a major tournament when she stepped out at EuroBasket Women 2003 in Greece. Now she looks like she could be making a return and offering her experience and flexibility to the National Team once more. She can easily play the small forward spot or drop to the shooting guard position if required and either way, you can expect her to put teams to the sword from the perimeter. She may now be a veteran but she is back in the reckoning after a great season, one of the best of her career in fact. She finished in the top ten of EuroCup Women for three-point percentage and produced a super 20 point performance in just 22 minutes against defending champions Sony Athinaikos on her way to being crowned a EuroCup Women champion. She will also work hard to grab vital boards for the team and can pick out a pass too. |
