Back from a couple of years enjoying new motherhood, the potential return of Ogorodnikova is a huge boost if she can persuade Coach Czeczuro she is in the right shape to still compete, having not played since 2011 with Umana Reyer in the highly competitive Italian League. But her record speaks for itself and it will be hard to overlook her vast experience and the fact she amassed a superb 17 points-per-game the last time Ukraine stepped out at EuroBasket Women final round. She is ruthless around the hoop, sniffing out offensive rebounds and those all-important easy scores whenever possible. She is energetic, enthusiastic and is always capable of lighting a fire under any team and igniting her team mates with her passion and ability to turn a game on its' head. Defensively she is aggressive and hard-nosed and if she proves she has ‘game sharpness' ahead of the trip to Vannes, she could well find herself back playing a key role.
