10.11.2004

The beginning of the game was well-balanced and careful from both sides and both teams started with zone defence. In the 5th minute the score was tight 10:10 however, the visitors gradually improved their rebounding and were more precise in scoring.

At that point Williams from Decín was the best player (she finished on 12 points, 7 rebounds and 12 blocks).

The score had moved to 14:28 by the 10th minute,  the hosts having scored only 4 points in last 5 minutes of the first quarter.

Both sides started the second quarter slowly. The hosts improved their defence mainly by containing Williams and started to cut the visitors' lead. The score in the 15th minute was 25:36, in the 18th minute 31:42 and the second quarter finished 36:47.

The best hosts' scorers up to this point were Šoška and Leach and the local defence was so good that Williams did not score a point in this period.

The begining of the third quarter was different. Both teams were more nervous and missed many easy shots. The first points on the scoreboard came from the visitors after 2,37 minutes and from free throws.

The score after 25 minutes was 40:51. Then, Decin's number 14, Sanders, caught fire (2 triples and one double) and the guests suddenly pulled away to lead 43:61.

In the last 2 minutes of this period the hosts improved their shooting, playing in the paint and cut the lead to a 10 point difference, 51:61.

Again the visitors started the final quarter better than the home side, although Kunin managed to cut the lead to 8 points, 54:62. Nevertheless, Decin didn´t allow the hosts to get right back in the game and kept control, playmaker Sanders organising their game very well. After the hosts missed three shots from inside the paint, it was over for them.

MVP: Levell Sanders
