The Czech Republic women's team will be without influential power forward Lucie Blahuskova as they start their preparation for Eurobasket Women with a training camp in Turkey next week.
Blahuskova, who was the Czech's most valuable player when they won silver at Eurobasket Women 2003 in Greece, is missing through club commitments. She was also absent from her nation's Olympic squad because of injury.
Kamila Vodickova is also unable to attend for the same reason as Blahuskova but Eva Nemcova has been named in the training squad for the first time in six years.
The get-together in Spindlerov Mlyn is the first of several over the next three months as the Czechs fine tune their game ahead of the main event in September.
The training squad is: Ivana Vecerova, Zuzana Klimesova, Michaela Hartigova, Petra Kulichova, Petra Gerstnerova, Lenka Vetrovcova; Jana Vesela, Eva Viteckova, Hana Machova, Irena Borecka, Michaela Pavlickova, Eva Nemcova; Marketa Mokrosova, Michaela Uhrova and Darina Johnova.
