A full house awaited the two teams in Sopron. The Sopron fans knew that their favourites could win this evening against the French team, and then they would go to Valenciennes to the 3rd game. Of course, Valenciennes wanted no more games after this one...

Of the 3 French teams which have qualified for the Quarter-Final Play-Offs group  winners US Valenciennes Olympic have come out on top.

In such a tight competition as this season’s EuroLeague Group B, USVO finished in 1st place just ahead on points from Gdynia and Pecs who shared their 9-5 record.

Before the game against USK Blex KV Prague everybody in Sopron knew that a victory was needed for the Hungarians to go through to the playoffs. And they would not disappoint.

The first few minutes were tied, but later in the first period Sopron took control of the game. They played very well especially on defense using a lot of steals to score quickly.
